ALUMNI MEET AT GURU NANAK
INSTITUTIONS
On a pleasant afternoon Guru
Nanak Institutions has organized its Alumni Meet on 16th July 2011. The
date of this Meet was declared in the month of June and the news spread far and
wide. Many of the faculty and the alumni played an active role in contacting
their batch mates and others by inviting them for the meet. The Meet was
attended by the alumni of batches that graduated in year 2005, 2006, 2007.2008,
2009 & 2010. There was special enthusiasm in the batches that have come for
the meet. It was a great pleasure to know about their accomplishments in
professional lives. Most of them were visiting their Alma Mater for the first
time since their graduation, and naturally were thrilled to be back in the
campus again. Few alumni attended the Meet with their spouses and children and
were very excited. They very proudly took their families around the campus and
showed the places where they lived and spent time.
The much awaited programme did begin with a prayer song. Addressing the
Inaugural function our Director Training & Placements, Mr. Jasjit Singh
Mahon welcomed the Alumni and their family members.
The current students of GNEC arranged a cultural programme where in they
presented songs and dances to the alumni.
Our Hon’ble Vice chairman addressed the alumni and said that Alumni are
the brand ambassadors of the Institution and a very vibrant relationship must
be established and nurtured.
Our Hon’ble Managing Director addressed the alumni and said it was really
very touching to meet them after such a long time. He recalled his memories and shared the same
with them. He said that the college has assets such as building, faculty and
students but the biggest assets to the college are the alumni and their
interaction with the college will create a path for their juniors’ as well.
The Principal of GNEC was very happy to see the alumni and congratulated
all the alumni who have been placed in various organizations and thanked the
alumni for coming to the meet by sparing their valuable time in their busy
schedules.
After the valuable speeches given by the dignitaries we arrived at the
alumni time where the alumni were called to share their experience, views and
ideas. Most of them have shared their experiences and success stories with the
Management Faculties & Friends and became nostalgic about their past days
in the college.
Thereafter, Director Training & Placements discussed the agenda
items wherein he proposed to create alumni groups and a website for the alumni
of GNI.
As
a token of love our dignitaries presented mementos to our beloved alumni’s and
took a group photograph as a memory to be cherished in the future.
Our
Placement Officer Mr. Ramakrishna Rao has presented the vote of thanks to all
the participants and thanked each and everyone who contributed their effort to
make this event a success.
As
all good things come to an end, so does this meet, The Alumni Meet closed at a very
emotional note and the programme
ended with a High tea.
Everyone departed with the resolve to visit again.
